In Fleetwood every year there's a Festival of Transport, known as 'Tram Sunday'. And in 2014, with arts company Squirrel and Tiffin, Wooden Spoons Theatre was involved with the festival. If you've seen the classic film Musical 'Meet Me in St Louis', you'll probably know the 'Tram' element to the film:
The amazing Squirrel and Tiffin had taken over 2 trams and transformed them into spectacular spaces, you can read about Squirrel and Tiffin here.Myself and two other actresses became characters from the musical and spoke to people at the festival nearby these interactive art spaces. We performed little scenes including some songs from the film, and encouraged people to get involved with what was going on on the stationary trams.
With Cheryl Dakin and Sharon Lancaster
My face was aching from smiling by the end as so many people wanted to take our pictures! It was a lot of fun.
