Corfu was just amazing. ...I had such a lovely time and writing this now I am missing it a lot!
We flew from Belgrade, Serbia to Athens, and then onto Corfu. We then took a mini bus to the area we were staying - Paliokastritsa.
Our host showed us round the area which was great and told us about a beach slightly more hidden that the main one, which is where we spent most of our days there!
We were there longer than the other places - about a week. Which meant we could unpack a little more, relax and not have to think about moving on or fitting stuff in. It was great. Sun, sea, and lots of food. One restaurant in particular had great staff who chatted to us, made us feel welcome and I got to try lots of different Greek food and drink. (They were also impressed/surprised with Gareth's ability to speak a bit of Greek including colloquial phrases ;-p ).

Something which Gareth introduced me too whilst there was snorkeling! For him this is pretty tame as he's done a fair bit of scuba diving, but it was amazing! Such beautiful sea life and brightly coloured fish, and we swam to areas which pushed the edge of my comfort zone at times - which is good - but yeh, really amazing seeing such beautiful natural creatures and habitats.

We also swam in the sea during one of the sunsets, which was amazing.
Whilst in Corfu we also went out one night for a nice meal followed by cocktails. This was a lovely night (my choice of activities really, but I think Gareth enjoyed it too :-p). I wore the dress I bought in Serbia (mentioned briefly in my last blog).
My time in Corfu was just fantastic - relaxing, welcoming, exciting and beautiful. I would love to visit again! Or more of the Greek Islands :)
Please allow me for one moment to be incredibly soppy. I usually try to avoid being too personal on this blog but I just want to say how lucky I am to get to travel with this gorgeous, wonderful man. His travelling expertise meant I could relax and take a back seat! And I'm rather fond of him. (Feel free to throw up now).
