We then moved to Harrogate to work in Nidd Hall Hotel, a 4 star adult only hotel in an old stately home. I was there most of last year really so there's a fair few snaps I'd like to share - and this is a tiny selection compared to how many i took...i have issues :-P -so i'm gonna split this bit into a few blog entrys.
The house is set in the middle of the countryside, which I really liked.
The entertainment team's quarters were in this building which used to be the laundry made's cottage.
The grassy mound I'm sitting on was the old 'ice house' for the house (our equivalent of a fridge/freezer!):
The library (not that there was much time for reading!) There is a hidden door in one of the bookcases in this picture:
Heather performing an outside love caberet during The Royal wedding weekend:
Solo cabarets were one of my favourite parts as I got to sing lots of jazz numbers I love singing:
Backstage after a welcome show cabaret we did for a while:
When the parents came to visit:
They held 'Strictly Come Dancing Breaks' at the hotel. I had to model this dress (picture taken backstage) ...
...which had been worn by the last years winner...
And dancers from the programme came to do performances, and one of the judges came too.
They held a 70's themed silent disco. This is Ryan (our amazing techie) DJ-ing against -YES- Tony Blackburn.
And we entered into the 70's spirit too;
Being in Harrogate of course I had to visit Bettys ;-) ...
And visit some of the nearby places of interest... ripley, harrogate theatre, york, knaresborough etc...
Knaresborough;
Harrogate Theatre;
York;
And now i shall be a bit sentimental and show you a picture from the last meal the entertainment team had together at The Terrace Restaurant (2 rosette award winning...I don't even work there any more but I'm still bigging them up ;-P );
More pictures to come...
