A colourful start to the year

Happy 2013

Hope this year is full of good things for you all! I wonder what it will hold for me!

Well kicking off the year earlier this month I tagged along with my partner to London again to help with a company there he's worked with before. The company is called The Lion's Part and the event was a Twelfth Night seasonal celebration which involved a procession, a performance combining a mish-mash of tradition, music, bright costumes and fun and all ending up at a pub (woop) George Inn (which has a whole history of it's own!).

We helped out with bits and pieces to do with props and practical things. Unfortunately the day before we headed to London I wasn't very well, which was frustrating timing as I felt it affected me whist I was there and was not quite myself. It was all new to me and very interesting to experience and some challenges but I really enjoyed the performance day especially, it was a fantastic show/experience and great to see different approaches to creating theatre. Other highlights included a 'kissing wishing tree' which you tied wishes too (and then kissed someone), a story teller and dancing to traditional folk songs and jigs.

Lots more to look forward to this year and I hope lots of good things I haven't even imagined yet! Hoping to keep updating this every so often, (however little it may be read!) as I've quite enjoyed writing in it a bit more.
